The Vision Behind Components Direct
The vision for Components Direct was years in the making. While we were busy placing orders for materials for our customers, we wanted to find a way that we could hand these common-place components over more easily. Thus, Components Direct was born.
We wanted it to be a store that would house all the necessary metal building components our customers may need in one place; making it easier for contractors, builders, and DIY enthusiasts to find everything they need.
The component experts at Components Direct are knowledgeable and can provide advice on the best components for your project. Not only can they help you find what you need, but they can even help you create a design and place an order for a custom component if needed!

What’s Available in the Store
Open the doors to our store, located in Woodburn, Oregon and find that the store shelves are stocked with a wide range of components-including purlins and girts (both Cee’s and Zee’s), bolts, screws, and more. These components are readily available, making it easier to start and finish your project quickly. You won’t have to wait for weeks or even more than a few days for components to arrive in the event you need a custom component.
With Components Direct, you can get everything you need under one roof. In addition to some of those components we listed, you can also find:

How it Came to Be
The ball got rolling on the Components Direct store in January, where our rockstar employees, Stephanie and Brenden, were put in charge. From there, they worked hard to bring the vision to life. A lot of those early months consisted of them learning point of sale (POS) systems and accounting software so they could run the store properly. There was time spent building displays and shelving units and there was plenty of ordering and doing inventory.
Once the store was set up, the team worked on getting all the necessary components in stock on the shelves and planning how to create an introduction to the store that was warm and inviting. To do that, a grand opening was in order!
The grand opening happened in July later that year and was celebrated with support from friends, colleagues, and the community alongside a ribbon cutting and some tasty treats. Since then, Components Direct has been providing high-quality components and exceptional customer service to customers.
All in all, this store was created with the vision of making it easier for contractors, builders, and hobby enthusiasts to find all the necessary metal building components they needed in one place-and we hope we accomplished that.
